Webinar Overview:

If you or someone you care for is 65 or older, your dietary needs differ from other populations. Calorie needs decrease as we get older, yet we may need more of some key nutrients. In this webinar, we cover ways to help combat some of the health concerns commonly associated with aging.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore why it is necessary to focus on prevention
  • Review clinical signs of nutritional deficiencies
  • Learn ways to assist with seniors getting adequate nutrition
  • Explore ways to assist with psychological aspects
  • Consider different ways to prevent malnutrition in seniors
  • Explore exercises necessary for healthy living in senior years

Kelly earned her BSN from California State Dominguez Hills and is a graduate of M.D. Anderson ET program. She recently retired from Mercy Folsom, and also served as Membership Coordinator for the Pacific Coast Region of the WOCN Nursing Society as well as working Member of the Foot Certification Study Project of the WOCN Certification Board.
