In this classic basic skills program, learn the latest best practices for performing a urethral catheterization. Both intermittent straight catheters and indwelling retention (foley) catheters are demonstrated and described.

This training reflects the recent change in practice regarding inflating catheter retention balloons prior to insertion. While this was once standard practice and remains common, it has become controversial and is no longer performed in many facilities.
