Pressure injury prevention in post-acute care has become one of the most important quality initiatives under the Affordable Care Act. New or worsening pressure injuries continue to be heavily penalized by regulators. This video course will help individuals across all care settings to contribute to pressure injury prevention, stopping the wound development before it becomes a painful and costly issue. The course itinerary is as follows:

  • Introduction
  • What Are Pressure Injuries?
  • Preventing Pressure Injuries
  • Turning and Repositioning
  • Skin Care

  • Program Summary

Pressure injuries are hazardous but highly preventable. All healthcare professionals can contribute to pressure injury prevention by watching and implementing the methods in this short 20-minute video course.
