Managing Fecal and Urinary Incontinence featuring Jeff Souza, RN, BSN, WOCN.

During this webinar, we will focus on the challenging problem that incontinence poses for patients and caregivers. Both urinary and fecal incontinence can lead to skin breakdown, infection and complications. From a simple “diaper rash” to complex skin infections – or even falls – incontinence can be the root cause.

In this webinar, Jeff Souza will cover the causes and treatments for both urinary and fecal incontinence. We will discuss how patients can be protected from these complications and effective measures to prevent it from going from bad to worse.

Webinar Objectives
Upon conclusion participants will be able to:
  • Explain the difference between Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD) and Pressure Ulcers (PU)
  • Describe the effect of excessive moisture on skin integrity
  • Discuss the three (3) components of a skin care regime for a person with fecal or urinary incontinence
