Guest speaker: Shield HealthCare on-staff Registered Dietitians with clinical experience in enteral nutrition and hands-on patient education

• Colorado Springs – 5/31/12 at The Inn at Garden Plaza (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm)

Washington

• Tacoma – 5/23/12 at The Villas (5:30 pm to 8:00 pm)

Course objectives:

• Identify types of feeding tubes and accessories • Demonstrate appropriate techniques for formula and medication administration • Describe optimal tube site care • Recognize and troubleshoot complications of tube feeding • Identify characteristics of malnutrition and recognize patients at risk • Describe the common components of a nutrition screen and assessment

* Shield HealthCare will provide the education necessary and instructions to take online CEU tests and receive certificates at a cost of $10.00 per course. Estimated time of online test completion is less than 5 minutes each. Two tests required to complete these 2 CE Units, at $20 total.
