Do you feel prepared for a natural disaster or emergency?

September is National Preparedness Month. Take time this month to make sure your household has enough supplies for at least 72 hours without power and clean water.

Be informed. Find out about which types of disasters, including natural, technological, and home fires are likely to occur in your area.

Make a plan. Be sure your family knows what to do before, during and after an emergency.

Build a kit. Set aside enough food, water and supplies to last at least 3 days.

Update every 3 months. Once you have a plan in place and supplies on hand, put a reminder on your calendar to check your kit and update your family with any recent changes.
