This association advocates to ensure caregivers have safe and secure environments in which to work, promotes the advancement of home care, and speaks to concerns within the industry.

Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice (OCHCH)

Founded in 1965 by a small number of home care agencies, the Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice (OCHCH) is a non-profit association that advocates for the Ohio home health and hospice industries and the individuals and families it serves.

Ohio Department of Aging

The Department of Aging administers programs and services to meet the needs of older Ohioans. These programs are funded by the federal Older Americans Act, Medicaid, and other sources. The Ohio Department of Medicaid contracts with them to administer certain Medicaid programs; and most programs and services are coordinated locally by contracted area agencies on aging.

Ohio Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs)

Ohio’s Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) support the needs of older adults, through education and through coordinating home and community-based long-term care. Ohio has 12 AAAs that cumulatively represent all 88 counties. Ohio AAAs are designated by the Ohio Department of Aging.  Sometimes they are referred to as PSAs, or Planning and Service Areas.
