Watch Laura Cox, Shield HealthCare’s Ostomy Lifestyle Specialist, in her most recent appearance on Comedy Central’s TOSH.0!

In December of 2013, Comedy Central’s irreverent comedian Daniel Tosh interviewed Laura Cox on her life with an ileostomy. Daniel found Laura through her YouTube channel “Ostomystory,” where she shared videos about life with an ostomy.

In Laura’s own words:

“After two years of posting videos I was approached by a producer from the Comedy Central show “TOSH.0″ for an interview. I was familiar with the humor of the show, but wasn’t sure if this was the best way to spread my message, so I debated the opportunity for a few months before deciding to go for it. The result from being on the show turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined and the reaction from the ostomy community was overwhelmingly positive, including being discovered by the CEO of Shield HealthCare who asked me to join their team as an Ostomy Lifestyle Specialist.”

“That cutie patootie without a colon in her booty is Laura,” said Daniel Tosh in his original episode. “Laura’s just making the best of a crappy situation, and I have a sh*tload of questions.”

In March 2020, TOSH.0 featured Laura in a follow-up episode on his most popular guests: TOSHCON: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? In this look back at some of his most popular and memorable guests, Daniel Tosh hosts a convention, featuring a panel with past guests including the “Bubble Hat inventor,” the “Ostomy Bag Girl” and the “Hillary in the House” singer.
