My husband had a severe stroke two years ago which left him paralyzed on his rt. side, unable to speak,some memory loss, and they had to amputate his right leg. I am his sole caregiver.,he is 64 and I am61. It can be a very tiring, frustrating,and stressful 24hour job. But when looks at me and smiles, or simply out of the blue strokes my hand, it makes me think he appreciates what I am doing and my heart melts. We have been married for 43 years and I could not imagine being any where else but by his side.
